ULPGC at the IDF conference

Our project partner ULPGC participated in the IDF conference, the World Diabetes Congress which took place in Lisbon (Portugal) from 5th to 8th December 2022.

The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) is an umbrella organization of over 230 national diabetes associations in 170 countries and territories. It represents the interests of the growing number of people with diabetes and those at risk. The Federation has been leading the global diabetes community since 1950.

In this scenario, WARIFA has been presented with a poster presentation, which highlighted the objectives and results achieved by the project towards the development of a prototype of a combined early risk assessment tool that will provide individual citizens with personalised recommendations for the management of chronic conditions – such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and chronic respiratory diseases – which represent the leading causes of death for the citizens of the European Union.
