The WARIFA Community Health Risk Profiles website is an integral part of the WARIFA project with the aim of promoting community well-being and contributing to the prevention of non-communicable diseases.
The platform is dedicated to delivering valuable insights into Community Health Risk Profiles of four pilot municipalities from Norway, Romania and Spain providing essential information on contextual and environmental risk factors that might affect the health and well-being of the cities’ population:
The profiles target, on one side, policy makers, public health experts and other practitioners to better understand the crucial interplay within the context, environment and health in their countries and cities.
On the other hand, citizens will also find knowledge and recommendations to make informed decisions and take proactive steps towards preventing non-communicable diseases, such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and certain types of skin cancer such as melanoma. For example, in the case of self-care behaviours regarding excessive exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet rays.
